All adopted equine are required to have a vet exam and a report must be sent to VEA 12 months after adoption. A current photo must accompany the vet report. Coggins test, tetanus and other immunizations as recommended should be maintained. Site visits will be performed for followup by the Adoption Coordinator or his designee as set forth in the adoption contract during the one year probation period. Adopters are not allowed to sale at auction or send to slaughter an adopted VEA equine.
